About

Kewaunee is the "door" to Door County, Wisconsin, located 30 miles east of Green Bay and 30 miles south of Sturgeon Bay. The verdant Kewaunee River valley, boater-friendly Kewaunee Harbor, and the sandy shores of Lake Michigan are among the natural features of this small town. The Kewaunee Renaissance LLC (KR) was formed in 2006 by a group of investors for the purpose of rehabilitating and adaptively reusing Kewaunee’s historic structures to revitalize Kewaunee downtown and waterfront areas with music, art, crafts, literature, architecture, landscape, and design.

KR’s name is derived from the rebirth and flourishing of the fine arts from the 14th to the 16th centuries in Europe, and serves as an inspiration for the advancement of Kewaunee’s culture – past, present and future.

The Kewaunee Renaissance LLC is making progress with properties in the downtown area. We are grateful for the assistance offered by the Kewaunee County Economic Development Commission, the City of Kewaunee, and the Bay Lake Regional Planning Commission, in providing necessary contacts for the success of these projects, including governmental agencies, community groups, developers, prospective investors and tenants.
